2 Timothy 4:5 NLT \u201cBut you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don\u2019t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 10 of a 12-part series: Clearly knowing your specific purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 4 of a 4-part deep dive into how, specifically, to carry out your purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last part of this verse is so important!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have given you a ministry. It doesn\u2019t matter what you do for a living or who I have in your life or even if you are not able to make a living or be productive in this world. That matters none at all. There are people who are severely disabled who do truly amazing things for the Kingdom of God simply because they recognize that they have a ministry and they do their best to carry it out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You cannot do the ministry that I ask someone else to do. This is impossible. You cannot figure out your ministry by taking spiritual gifting tests or by looking at what someone else is doing. You may get clues this way and I may share giftings with you that I can then share with you how you will use them for your ministry so I encourage you to seek out as much knowledge about giftings and all that I have placed in you but know this, the only way you can know your ministry is to fall into My arms and allow Me to show you. I will show you through Scripture. I will show you through Words of Knowledge from my prophets. I will show you through intercessory prayers of the amazing prayer warriors I have put on the earth and I will show you through seemingly random comments by people you know or complete strangers that simply light you up and you know it is Me speaking to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the most powerful way  of carrying out the ministry I have given you is a repeat that you have already seen in past days:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Love Me with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. All of your problems are actually My problems and I will handle them.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    I know this seems simplistic but let go of your need to figure everything out and simply love Me so that I can DO in your life what you want rather than tell you what to do and then have it happen. Yes, I want you involved in your life. I am not telling you to sit on the couch all the time and expect your ministry to just show up at your front door (although this happens sometimes). I am asking you to be incredibly obedient and follow the most important commandment of all\u2026.love Me. From that, all else naturally flows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If you try to do your ministry with out first loving Me with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength then a few of things might happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    First, I may  not bless it because it is not going to be healthy or good for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Second, I may bless it and you will discover it is really empty without the love that I ask for you and you will find yourself unsatisfied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Third, and the worst yet, is that you will become so enthralled with doing My work that you will wear yourself out, burn out, have to keep going, find yourself hiding from everyone around you because you feel like an imposter and then, more often than not, everything will fall apart around you and a great deal of hurt and damage will happen. You see this in the church very regularly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    To avoid it and to find the fullness of your ministry simply do this. Spend the next 2 weeks (or 2 months if you can handle it), simply focusing on loving Me with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength and let everything else flow from that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I love you and this makes it possible for you to love Me (1 John 4:19). I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you. Just love Me back and I will transform your entire world!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
