Jeremiah 9:12 ESV \u201cWho is the man so wise that he can understand this? To whom has the mouth of the LORD spoken, that he may declare it? Why is the land ruined and laid waste like a wilderness, so that no one passes through?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is not popular to say that when very challenging things or disasters happen consistently there is sin in the world that is causing them. It is not popular at all but look at the Old Testament. You see it throughout all the stories. It is not a one for one relationship. The story of Job and many of the prophets show that. They were devout and dedicated and still bad things happened to them\u2026and then there is all the good that happened that was not deserved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It isn\u2019t one for one but it is a very real phenomenon, to consistently receive My blessing and favor because your heart is devoted to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 Chronicles 16:9 \u201cFor the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love giving you strong support! I absolutely love it. And I do it all the time for those whose hearts are seeking Me. When you are not seeking Me actively, I have to be more careful because I don\u2019t want you to be distracted by the blessing and miss out on the fact that what you truly seek is Me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Be like the wise man who discerns that when the land is ruined and laid waste there is something very direct you can do\u2026seek Me, pray, encourage others to recognize Me for who I am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don\u2019t smite the land actively because I am punishing you. The truth is that the creation moves toward entropy (the natural decline into disorder) naturally and I am the one that keeps it moving in a positive direction. Therefore, I don\u2019t have to smite anything, it happens by itself. Pray for Me to intervene and remove the effects of entropy. Of course, when there is no evil in the world any longer there will no longer be entropy to deal with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prayer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lord, we know that you love us and this world has sin in it. We know that we don\u2019t deserve the fullness of Your blessing, and yet we need it. Lord, please bless us this day with Your perfect ordering of our lives and all the lives around us so that we can combat entropy together and bring this world closer to Your will, here on earth as it is intended. We know you want to bless us Lord. Help us recognize You for who you are and not who we believe You to be. We love you Lord. Let our love come to you as beautiful incense in our prayers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amen<\/p>\n\n\n\n
