Matthew 3:14 NASB \u201cBut John (the Baptist) tried to prevent Him, saying, \u2018I have the need to be baptized by You, and yet You are coming to me?\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you know how you can tell that you are walking in the anointing that I have given to you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is one simple way to determine it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It can take some time filled with obedience and patience to get to this point; however, it comes quickly when you study your identity in Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When what I tell you about yourself and what I ask you to do seems \u201carrogant\u201d or \u201ctoo much\u201d or it seems like I am exalting you far beyond what you believe is right for a human being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is how you can tell you are walking in My path for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

John the Baptist ran into this when Jesus asked him to baptize Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Disciples experienced it when I asked them to go out into the world and they were told to shake off the dust on their feet as a testimony against them if they were not received by them and they cast out demons and healed the sick (Mark 6:7-12).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peter reacted very strongly to this when Jesus is washing his feet (John 13:8).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In each case the disciples felt that I was exalting and expecting too much of them. I was diminishing the line of authority and power that exists between us and I was causing human beings to be \u201ctoo big for their britches\u201d, elevating them to the level of gods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, it is essential to recognize that I am God and to fear me. So many people refuse to fear Me and that is also a problem but if you fear Me then I will exalt you to the highest level possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fear Me, love Me, and then obey Me and do all that I ask of you, even if it seems as preposterous as John the Baptist, a \u201cmere\u201d human being, baptizing God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I believe this is a message to us from God, written from His perspective \u2013 Sherri<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n
