Luke 3:21 ESV \u201cNow when all the people were baptized, and when Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, the heavens were opened,\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notice how the heavens were opened in this moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Acts 7:55-56 ESV \u201cBut he, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. And he said, \u201cBehold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The heavens were opened here also.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isn\u2019t this curious, how close the heavens are to the earth and yet they feel so distant?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These were significant times in the Bible of course, and yet, it shows something that is available within the context of your life and your experiences. Do you want the heavens to be opened?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are you willing to risk what needs to be risked in order to experience this?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do I mean by this?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are you willing to be so dedicated to knowing and seeing Me that you can see into the heavens. In both of these instances, Jesus and Stephen are fully and completely devoted to Me and My plans, no matter the personal cost to them. Neither of them cared about dying because they both knew that this world is temporary and their true home is in heaven, with Me and on the new heaven and new earth when it has come to fruition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, I am talking about large spiritual topics that are hard to comprehend within the limitations of the human experience but, when you choose to see Me instead of this world, when you choose to listen to Me instead of the ruler of the world you are in (John 12:31), you will find that the heavens come closer and you may even be able to pierce the veil to the Holy of Holies that is available to you even while you are still on the earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let go of objections, they are from the spirit of rebellion which does not want anything good for you. Let go of the beliefs that I am anything but good and loving, they are from the enemy. Let go of ANY sense that actions or works are what lead to eternal life, they are not. Actions and works are a result of the eternal life you allow into your life when you receive the truth of the gospel and the truth of the power of Jesus\u2019 resurrection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is not your power or might that lead to heaven being opened up. It is My power and might being fully experienced in Your life because of your complete realization that you have been experiencing the lies of the enemy and believing them\u2026and you release them to Me and receive My truth completely. That is when the heavens open up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus experienced this with the baptism\u2026and then he went into the desert for 40 days and was tempted by enemy. But He had already made His choice at that moment of baptism to believe Me over anything else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stephen experienced this with this moment of clarity where He knew that his life meant nothing if he submitted to the one of the earth rather than the One of the Heavens and so the heavens opened up and he saw Me standing there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both were willing to risk their lives for the Kingdom. Both were ready to let go of anything other than Me and the fullness of who I am and what I desire for this world. Both experienced the heavens opening up right before their very eyes.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
