Matthew 26:38 CEV \u201cThen He said to them, \u2018My soul Is deeply grieved, so that I am almost dying of sorrow. Stay here and stay awake and keep watch with Me.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This version shared the depth of Jesus\u2019 sorrow better than other versions. He is deeply grieved, almost to the point of death. He is experiencing the deep grief that I felt when Adam and Eve chose to eat of the tree I had instructed them to eat of and also the deep sorrow I felt before the flood<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Genesis 6:5-7 AMP \u201cThe LORD saw that the wickedness (depravity) of man was great on the earth, and that every imagination or intent of the thoughts of his heart were only evil continually. The LORD regretted that He had made mankind on the earth, and He was [deeply] grieved in His heart. So the LORD said, \u201cI will destroy (annihilate) mankind whom I have created from the surface of the earth–not only man, but the animals and the crawling things and the birds of the air–because it [deeply] grieves Me [to see mankind\u2019s sin] and I regret that I have made them.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notice that Jesus, in His sorrow asks for His closest friends to stay with Him. He wants the companionship and support of the people who know Him best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notice also that when Adam and Eve sinned the first thing I did was draw them in to Me and take care of them. I clothed them and then I did the best thing I could do for them. I removed them from the Garden of Eden so that their sin would not become permanent by eating of the tree of life. Even in My deep sadness I wanted to be near My children again before they had to leave the presence of the garden.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notice that when I destroyed all of mankind by a flood, I kept Noah alive because I wanted the companionship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I do not need anything from you<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Acts 17:25 \u201cnor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But I want you. I want you to be close to Me, as close to Me as you can possibly be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Jesus is grieved to the point of death the answer we come up with is not to destroy those who have gotten so far off track that they would kill the very Messiah they are looking for. Our answer is to destroy ourselves (Jesus) and then recreate life so that all may be saved through His death and resurrection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please, if you feel weary to the point of death\u2026many do right now. If you feel weary because of the deep sorrow you feel, do not try to fix this yourself. Instead come to Me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matthew 11:28-30 ESV \u201cCome to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I will give you rest. My burden is light. Come to Me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isaiah 40:29-31 ESV \u201cHe gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength\u2026.they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The answer is not found within yourself. The answer is found within Me. Wait on Me!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Psalm 34:18 NLT \u201cThe LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am near to you and I will rescue you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are times in life when you simply have nothing left. You are weary to the point of death and it feels like nothing truly matters. Nothing you do makes it any better. The only thing you can do in these times is to come, crawl into My arms, admit you are weary and have no strength left, receive the promises I give to you and know that I will give you rest, give you power and increase your strength, and rescue you. You cannot make it happen yourself sometimes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Come to Me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I believe this is a message to us from God, written from His perspective \u2013 Sherri<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n
