Psalm 37:4 ESV \u201cDelight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This verse has so many nuances and is preached on regularly which means there may be a lot of misconceptions about it if the person who is preaching comes from an attitude of suffering and lack as the primary tenants of Christianity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you explore this verse know one thing\u2026it is in loving Me and delighting in Me that you actually find the desires of your heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Know also this, when I created you, I put in you all that you need in order to be who you want to be. It is evil and satan that attempts to steal, kill, and destroy all that I put inside of you and all that I made you to be (John 10:10). Protect yourself from this. Delight in Me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do not believe the lies that the Christian faith requires you to give everything up that really matters and has meaning in this world. Do not believe that you will experience suffering, hardship, pain, and disappointment because you have to put on a sour face when you decide to follow Jesus. This is a lie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delight in Me and you will discover the truth. That I am your delight. I am the desire of your heart. I am everything you have ever wanted or needed and from our friendship, relationship, and love for one another, all else that you could ever ask or imagine will flow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

See Me and Christianity as the most freeing, powerful, and influential thing you could ever do in your life. It will bring you all that you ever wanted, and it will overflow onto those around you. Don\u2019t serve because you are obligated to serve. Love Me and then the desire to serve will follow. Don\u2019t give because you are obligated to give. Love Me and the desire to give will follow. Believing that all will be lost when you follow Jesus causes you to not trust Me fully, which leads to all the bad things that you do not want\u2026that people tell you will be required of you if you are a Christian. When you love Me, trust Me, and delight yourself in Me you find the real Me and the real relationship I designed you for!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delight in Me and see what happens!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
