{"id":737,"date":"2026-06-01T07:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-06-01T07:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/schealingarts.org\/?p=737"},"modified":"2026-05-29T23:46:15","modified_gmt":"2026-05-29T23:46:15","slug":"june-6-daily-message-john-1013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/schealingarts.org\/?p=737","title":{"rendered":"June 6 &#8211; Daily Message &#8211; John 10:13"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>John 10:13 NLT \u201cThe hired hand runs away because he\u2019s working only for the money and doesn\u2019t really care about the sheep.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Without judging yourself at all\u2026just with complete honesty can you make an inventory of all the things you do in your life only for the money?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am not asking you to go into a conversation about purpose and meaning and finding your dream job, I am simply asking you to look at your motivation for why you do what you do. If you only do something for money you have two choices:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Find something that you naturally do that you can also make money doing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Find a greater purpose in what you are doing and let go of the money aspect of the work focusing instead on something more meaningful. Serving people, offering a good product or service, being more diligent or better at what you do than is even expected so it is great value for the money.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Normally, focusing on the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> choice leads to the point where you find the 1<sup>st<\/sup> choice. Be faithful in what you are currently doing. Do the best job you can at it. Go above and beyond, not out of competition or desire for recognition but because you want to serve Me and serve My people well\u2026and find a new meaning in it that is beyond the money.
