A comprehensive 40 Day Journey to awakening love in your life through Messages from God, Bible Study, Prayer, and Blessing.

We are told to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 22:37).

Then we are told to love our neighbor as ourselves (Mark 22:38).

And then we are told to love our enemies (Matthew 5:44).

Clearly love…all encompassing and unconditional love… is an essential aspect of the Kingdom from God’s point of view.

Therefore, spending 40 days looking at love from God’s perspective is a very formidable and desirable task to take on.

What does it mean to love?

What does it mean to be loved?

What does God want us to do with the love He gives us?

What do we experience when we are so filled with God’s love that it overflows all around us?

What happens when our love “receptors” are blocked or filled with things that are not truly love…blocking the true love available to us? What happens when we are able to free these receptors up so that we can fully receive God’s love and experience the fullness of the verses about loving God, ourselves, our neighbors and our enemies?

What is possible through the power of love?

This is what we will explore over the next 40 days together.

The Holy Spirit will show you exactly what you need to know in order to experience the fullness of God’s love in your life.

Day 1

John 3:16 ESV “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

Of course we must start with this verse because it is the deepest understanding of love available and the hardest of people to receive.

You cannot earn My love. You don’t need to.

You cannot earn salvation. You don’t need to.

You cannot earn eternity. You don’t have to.

Jesus has taken care of it all for you. You don’t have to.

Absorb this for a moment.

I loved you so much that I created you. I had to allow sin to enter the world because you had to have a choice. If you hadn’t had a choice you would be a slave or a robot who loved me simply because you had no other choice than to love Me. I gave you a choice so that you would become a son or daughter rather than a slave or robot. I had to allow sin to enter the world so that you could choose to love Me and to receive My love for you.

I allowed sin to enter this world but I also had a plan from the very beginning and this plan is and was Jesus.

You have a very simple assignment. Simple but challenging really. Believe in Jesus. This is the work I have asked of you in this world.

John 6:29 “Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”

There is an obsession with work in the world right now but that is simply because evil has twisted the deep desire I have put into people to do My work which is to believe in Jesus and turned it into the shallow desire of this world which is to work and be successful in this world. Evil is asking you to focus on the shallow desire to focus only on what is available to you here on earth and I am asking you to focus on the deep desire to focus on eternity.

Yes, work hard. Very hard. Believing in Jesus is hard work while in this world and in this time in history. It is very hard work. Focus on it, diligently doing it each and every day. Take a Sabbath each week and live the life of trusting Him.

The challenge of love is that it must be received with trust and childlike faith.

Can you believe that Jesus died for you and all of your sins and all the sins that were done to you. Can you find complete freedom from sin so that you can have a life filled with love instead? Jesus came so that you could exchange sin for eternal life in My complete love.

Take a moment as you embark on this journey deep into the understanding of what love is and recognize that your “love receiver” that I placed deep within your soul has gotten out of tune. It has focused on things of this world instead of things of Me. It has gotten out of tune a little bit but it is not that far off. It just needs a little bit of adjustment. Give Me permission to retune your receiver to Me and My love so that you will be able to hear and experience Me more deeply and in a more satisfying way.

Day 1 Prayer:

Lord, in this moment I give you permission to re-tune my “love receiver” to the right channel, where I love and believe in You and in Jesus. Help me work hard and believe in Jesus even when the world tells me that it is foolish and a waste of time. Help me believe in You above all else and experience the love that You want me to experience. The love You created me for. Thank You Lord for loving me so much that You made a way for me. Thank You.

Amen.

Day 2

1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.”

This is a powerful verse about the very practical aspects of love.

Do you experience fear?

My perfect love will cast it out.

When you are fearful what are you expecting?

Tragedy, punishment, a lack of something important to you? Fear is an indication that you are believing in something more than you are believing in Me.

Have you read the stories in the Bible of My powerful actions toward My people. My powerful actions that move beyond what is possible in the natural? If not, read the stories in Kings and Chronicles. See what Elijah and Elisha experienced and did in their lives from My power and see what happened to Elijah when he could no longer handle the power that I displayed through his actions at the end of his story.

These are not stories that are theoretical or in the past, they are stories of here and now. I am the same God as I was then and you are My children just as the Israelites in those stories were My children.

It is your weak faith and your belief in the limitations that people and society tell you about Me that keep you from experiencing miracles in your life. It is your belief that your company, your parents, your inheritance, your job, your medical insurance, or anything else in the world will take care of you that prevents Me from taking care of you properly. You limp along within the confines of this world, worried about being destitute before you die, being disabled for the rest of your life, or being homeless…having succumbed to poverty you always believed would overtake you. Why do you do this when the most powerful God ever to have been is right here with you? Why do you believe in poverty and disease more than you believe in Me and My promises.

Read the Word of the Lord in the Bible and believe what it says. It will change your life.

The primary thing it says is that I love you. I love you. I love you. If you really read the Bible the way it is intended rather than the way it has been used by the few to control and beat people up then you will see that it is a love story. Read Hosea and see how I am showing the world that even when you sin and walk away from Me, I remain faithful. Read the prophets and see that even when My people sin against Me in egregious ways I love them beyond the love they can imagine and I never let them go. I may give them what they ask for…to live under the “power” of other nations or other gods…but I am always there and I always bringing them back to Me.

If you have fear, then focus on Me and allow Me to perfect you in My love. Invite Me into your life in ways I have never been able to come into your life because I have respected your boundaries and the walls You have put up. Take down your walls and allow Me in.

I am knocking. Will you let Me in (Revelation 3:20)?

Even if you think you have let Me in fully, know that there is always more available. Always! I am pure and complete love. There is always more love available to you than you experience because love is endless and limitless.

Day 2 Prayer

You love me more than I can ask or imagine and I want, very much, to experience this so that I will not have to live in fear. I want to fear You over all else and I want to receive Your love over all else. Please help me do this. I need Your help and guidance and I know that you always give me Your help and guidance. Amen
