Genesis 18:22 ESV “So the men turned from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before the Lord.”
Have you noticed how rare it is for someone to stand before Me?
Adam and Eve chose to explore the garden away from Me.
The Israelites were afraid to come up the mountain and Moses did it alone.
Saul refused to wait for Me for battle.
I invite you to come confidently before the throne (Hebrews 4:16) and yet I do ask you to do it with reverence and praise – not for My sake but for yours. Coming before My throne is much more meaningful when you recognize the power, might, love, grace, and mercy that I Am…because then you recognize how much more is available to you.
My desire is to walk in the Garden with you (Genesis 3:8) and to be your God and for you to be My people (Psalm 95:7)
Is this your desire also?
If so, be the one that stands before Me, having a conversation with Me about what I am doing and what you want. Jesus often asked “what do you want Me to do?” to people who called out or came to Him. Stand before Me now and ask what you want and yet spend some time considering what to ask for (James 4:3). Abraham asked for Me to relent My plans for Sodom, not just for his own benefit, and we negotiated. Come to Me and you will find what you seek. Ask for what you really want and not what this world tells you to desire. Stand before Me and ask. I am listening.

Dear Lord, I am In awe of You and am so grateful for this invitation because I know how mighty, powerful, loving, and full of grace and mercy you You are. I stand before You now and with great hope and expectation ask for you to ______ Thank You Lord. I leave this in Your hands. Amen.
