Psalm 23:1 ESV “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.”
Do you believe Me?
With all that you fill your life with, do you realize that I am what you really want?
I love being your shepherd. I love being with you each and every day of your life – leading, guiding, loving you.
So many believe that they have to seek Me for Me to be there. They think I want them to do things for Me, that I need them to actively work for Me so that My Will is done, but this is backward. The truth is that I am your shepherd, and I take care of everything you need and truly want and from that place of being fully cared for, you experience such abundance that you want to do anything you possibly can for Me out of an incredible sense of generosity.
Yes, there are times I ask you to serve Me out of a place of emptiness but what you find is that it isn’t really about serving the other person – it is to fill you up because it is what you needed.
So many Christians feel empty right now, knowing they should be seeking Me through church, prayer, Bible study, and community events but I have become an obligation or a “should”. This too is backward. Look at the people in the Bible who are filled with the Holy Spirit. They aren’t obligated to know Me…they want, need, desire, and love to know Me and I flow through them. You are here now, reading this because I am your shepherd and you have no other true and deep want other than Me. I am with you right now, in the very space where you are. You don’t have to go anywhere or do anything to experience Me. I am right here with you. I never leave you and am always right there with you. Let Me love you and fill you up so that you desire to do all the things you “should” do. Let Me fill you up and then all else will follow.
Prayer:
Lord, I desire You – not all the “shoulds” of following You. Please fill me with Your Presence so that I can simply enjoy being with You, just like I enjoy simply being with my best friends with whom I love to hang out and be with. Thank You for understanding me. Amen.
