Proverbs 26:2 NASB “Like a sparrow in its flitting, like a swallow in its flying. So, a curse without cause does not come to rest.”
Sparrows move around quickly. Swallows dip down and avoid anything that might impact them negatively. They are both very agile in the way they move.
You may have heard of a curse being spoken over you when you were a child or you may hear others speak curses inadvertently or purposefully over other people or children and you may be concerned as to what that may mean for you or them. But this verse is powerful.
A curse that is without cause cannot land on the person, even if it was intended for them.
A baby, a young child…innocent and completely without any cause for a curse, cannot be cursed by inadvertent language unless they partner with the words in their soul or mind. This is how curses can land. If you tell a child who they are and it is less than their calling and then the enemy whispers into your ear that this is the way to achieve greatness…to align with what you have told them they can be…then the curse lands because there is a cause.
If, instead, this child is filled with so much of My love and receives their identity through Me, then the enemy cannot get into their brain to get them to align with the curse being spoken over them.
The solution, which is true for so many things, is to raise up children in Me and in My love. Teach them how to receive My love for them. Speak My love and life over their lives and then the curses from this world will not land on them.
If you had a terrible childhood and you can see that the enemy caused you to believe the curses are real…turn it around. Go back in your mind to those times and speak My love over yourself. I travel in time! I am not bound by time! Your prayers in the past are powerful and they do cause change.
You may hear that much damage can be done at a young age. You may wonder how you will ever have a chance at a happy and fulfilled life because of all the damage that was done but know this…I am not bound by time. Go back to the events that were so damaging and invite Me there. See Jesus in the memory and receive what He was saying or communicating to you about who you are and about what was happening. Let Him move into the memory and bring healing. His healing is all encompassing and powerful.
Prayer:
Lord, You know all things and you are not limited by time. Please return, with me or without me, to the memories of old that cause me to experience anything other than complete happiness, peace, and abundance in my life and heal them with Your presence. Make it impossible for any curse to come to rest upon me whether it is from past generations or from my generation. Lord, this is a mystery that I don’t understand but I stand on the promises that You give me that no curse that has no cause will rest upon me. Make me holy in all moments of my life when curses were trying to land on me so that none will be able to find their rest on me.
Thank You Lord for this amazing miracle that you are doing.
