John 9:18 NRSV “The Jews did not believe that he had been blind and had received his sight until they called the parents of the man who had received his sight”
This is very reminiscent of another doubting person – Thomas – when he was told that Jesus had returned and he said:
John 20:25 ESV “Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe.”
I love that My children use the brains that I gave them to discern many things and to do many things, but it bothers me how often the very brain I gave My people are used to doubt the very things I have done. I have told you all the things that will happen, but when they happen you do not believe.
Some do. Please be one of those who does believe and does know that My words are true and will come to fruition. Sure, it may look different than you expect but open your minds to the miraculous and to the things of GOD. You will be pleasantly surprised how your life and experience of Me changes!
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for giving us a framework for all that you do and then, in the day-to-day we get to learn more about You and how you work by seeing how you bring all of your promises to fruition. Thank You Lord that you do the miraculous. I want to see more and more of what you do, just like you did in the times of Jesus. Please help Me believe!
