Matthew 4:23 AMP “And He went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news (gospel) of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness among the people [demonstrating and revealing that He was indeed the promised Messiah].”
There is still so much valuable information in this passage. Let’s stick with it for a few more days.
Why does Jesus heal every sickness and every kind of disease among the people?
His focus is stronger than a laser and yet it is so subtle as to not scare off people. His focus is on retrieving your heart, soul, mind, and strength so that it can be focused on the most beautiful and wonderful thing in the world….His love for you.
He heals every sickness and every kind of disease among the people because He loves you and He wants you to know that He is the promised Messiah. It is that simple. Healing is not as much about healing…I know that all will fall sick at some point and die, and that is simply part of this life. Therefore, not all diseases and sicknesses are healed. Everyone dies (except for the few that I take miraculously). If this world were about making it through so that you could die and go to heaven, then people would die from the very first connection with Me and the first sickness or disease they experienced right after they received Jesus as the Messiah.
Therefore, there must be more going on.
As I have shared in the last few days, My deepest desire is to walk with you, daily, in all that you do. My deepest desire is to love you, care for you, be with you, and be your Father. My heart aches for this closeness to you – not for the purpose of doing things in the world, that will come naturally – but for the purpose of us getting to share our lives together and enjoy all that is available to us. I just want to spend the entire day with you, each and every day. Miracles, provision, happiness, connection, even evangelism and healing all happen naturally as an outpouring of this. I just want to spend each and every day with you.
All the things I ask of you – reading the Bible, worship, praise, blessing, gratitude…they are all designed for one thing. To reconnect with Me so that we can spend our day together each day.
Let go of all the things you need to do in this world to make things better or more perfect and, instead, focus on the One who brings you to Me – Jesus Himself – and walk with Him through a friendship with His Holy Spirit in each and every moment of your day. This is the closest you will get to heaven on earth.
Let go of your plans and your goals and desires. They will never satisfy. Jesus, however, will satisfy.
