Colossians 2:3 NLT “In him lie hidden all of the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”
This is a multi-part message and I hope you will read from the beginning (May 4th).
Can you believe Me that all treasures of anything worthwhile, in this case wisdom and knowledge, are found in Christ.
Can you let go of all the things that hinder you from getting closer to Him, laying down your life a living sacrifice holy and pleasing to Me (Romans 12:1). Can you let go of your objections and simply come to Me and worship Me because you trust that I am good and that I know what I am doing. Even those of you who have followed Me your entire lives have small objections, questions, wonderments….lay these down and know that I am good and all that I create is good.
Let go of the arguments of theology and rules and hold onto Me instead. It is through My love and loving Me that you find what you seek. It is through My love and loving Me that you open up all the mysteries that I have hidden in Christ.
I know so many people wonder why I set this world up the way that I did. You feel that I am unfair and that not everyone has an opportunity to go to Heaven. You believe that I would, without much thought or concern, throw people into hell because of a small detail or a small mistake.
Do you really think so low of Me?
Do you really think that I could do that?
You experience Me on a daily basis. You feel My love for you even when you deny that you are feeling My love for you. I have surrounded you by the very people necessary for you to know Me and to love Me and yet you hold Me at arm’s length and tell Me that you only want a small part of Me – you only want the part that is safe and easy and make sense. You don’t want to wrestle with the really hard questions of suffering and Jesus being the way to Me (John 14:6).
Let go of the objections and fall into My loving arms. You have felt and experienced My presence powerfully throughout your entire life. When you go back through your memories you can see and experience Me through it all. You see where I was guiding you and where you fell down and I picked you up. You see that I have blessed you beyond what you deserve and you see that I am a truly wonderful and mighty God but I don’t make sense to you fully so you hold Me at arm’s length…not all that read this will find this to be true, but many of you hold out that one final thing that keeps us separated and distant.
Jesus contains all the mysteries of wisdom and knowledge.
This is simply a fact. It is simply true. Whether you believe it fully or not. It is true.
So, no matter what you think about all the things people object to when they talk about Me…know this. Exploring a relationship with Jesus will never bring foolishness or division from Me. It will always bring you closer to Me and it will bring wisdom. It may make it harder to live within the walls of this world because the world is at enmity with Me, but it will bring your heart closer to Me.
Let go of everything else – not that you have to get rid of it, but you have to accept that anything else is less true than I am.
Spend a few minutes simply asking Jesus into your heart, soul, mind, and strength and see what happens. Spend a few minutes asking Jesus to show you how He sees you…and see what happens. You might be surprised.
