John 3:16 ESV “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
Of course I have spoken about this verse previously but it is one that requires revisitation regularly because it is so central to the truth that you so deeply need and want to know.
The focus people put on this verse normally leads to the middle and end – that I gave Jesus to save you but today let’s look at the first part.
I love this world.
Many people believe that I hate this world and that I look forward to destroying it and bringing the new heaven and new earth. This is not true. I love this earth. I loved the earth before Noah’s time and I deeply wanted to restore it to the fullness of My creation, which is why I brought the flood to destroy the evil that had taken over the creation.
Fight the evil that is attempting to take over My beautiful creation. Fight it by receiving My love and by loving Me back. Fight with the most powerful tool that you have available to you. My love. Start within yourself. Let My love seep into every aspect of your life and body. Let it seep into your relationships, your spirituality, your faith, your work, your friendships, your very essence and being. Let My love fill you up so much that everything else that doesn’t belong will rise to the surface and be expelled.
My love is that powerful. It can remove all else from within you and protect you from anything and everything that wants to destroy you. My love is a powerful weapon, not to be weaponized against others but to be received in its fullness, allowing it to completely transform you from the inside out.
You have been praying for Me to change your circumstances and yet you hold on so tightly to the things that put you in these circumstances. Hold on, instead, to My love and let go of the things that are no longer good for you. Maybe these things have never been good for you but you don’t know anything else so you wonder what will happen if you let go of them. Don’t worry about that. Simply focus on My love and allow it to infiltrate your world, the world I created, the world you are asking Me to restore, the world you deeply desire to live within. Allow My love to infiltrate it all. Let go of the way you think this needs to happen and let the power of My love transform all things.
