2 Corinthians 13:14 NLT “May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”
Imagine this – this is what you live with each day of your life if you receive the gifts that God wants you to have:
Grace = the free and unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings.
You have the favor of Jesus and His bestowal of blessings. Think about this for a moment. So many people feel cursed, wronged, put upon, less than, worried, anxious, fearful of what is to come but you have the grace of Jesus Christ with you ALL of the time. You have His favor even when you don’t deserve it. You have His blessings even when you haven’t done anything to deserve them. You have His blessings! These are the blessings you truly want, and you truly seek, not just the ones you think you need. And you have them ALL the time. Receive them! Receive His grace! Receive this life of blessing and not cursing. Receive the fact that Jesus wants to give this to you all the time. Don’t block His grace by your doubts or by telling Him what is true and real in this world. Open yourself up to His mighty and powerful grace.
Next, you have My love. Think about what love really is for a moment. It’s not just a feeling, although sometimes you do feel it.
Love = from 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
- Complete patience with you
- Complete kindness toward you
- A complete lack of envy or boasting
- A complete lack of arrogance or rudeness toward you.
- Someone who does not always insist on their own way
- A complete lack of irritation or resentfulness
- Someone you can count on to never find pleasure in wrongdoing.
- Someone who always rejoices with you in truth.
- Someone who bears all things with you, believes in you, hopes for you, and endures all things with you
This life is available to you. A life filled with Jesus’ blessing and grace that is unearned and a life filled with My patience and kindness and companionship with you. Be fully in Me and Me fully in you. This is a wonderful place to be. It is a choice you have to make though. You have to choose to receive My love and receive Jesus’ graces! It is easier when you truly believe that I am good and you are not scared of Me. If you have any doubt that I am for you, if you have any doubt that I am good – better than anything else in this world. If you have any doubt whether I want to bless you. If you wonder if I will strike you with lightning when you make a mistake…please, please, please, work through this in prayer either by yourself or with a prayer partner, church leader, counselor, or friend who truly knows Me. This will change your life. Yes, there are plenty of places where you hear of My anger and wrath in the Bible but look at what I am angry and wrathful toward…sin…not you. I love you. I hate sin. I will always come against sin in your life, but I will always love, encourage and support you. You are not sin. You are you. Be you fully and completely. You are My child made in My image. Be this fully and completely and give all the sin to Jesus. Forgive everyone everything so that you are holding onto nothing that doesn’t belong to you. This is where you and I have the purest relationship and all things become filled with My presence and you have no sin for Me to remove from you. I will always remove sin from you, but you have to let go of it and sometimes you have to actively reject it also. Partner with Me and reject your sin so that you can be more fully the person that you are and receive even more of My love for you.
Next you have the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.
Think about this for a moment.
Fellowship = companionship, community, company, camaraderie
You have fellowship with the HOLY SPIRIT!!!! Do you even know what this means? It means that you are always in community, even when you are by yourself. It means you never have to experience loneliness, rejection, sadness because you aren’t with friends. You always have someone who is interested in you. You always have someone right there who wants to listen to you and hear all that you have to say. You have someone who will listen to you say the same thing over and over and over again when you are processing something and never tire of being there with you. You have pure and complete grace, love and fellowship each and every day of your life.
This is completely powerful and realizing this will truly change your life.
Take a moment and encounter Jesus and receive all that is given in this verse. It will completely change your day (and your life) if you will let it really sink in!
