Day 9 of a 12-part series: Clearly knowing your specific purpose.
Day 3 of a 4-part deep dive into how, specifically, to carry out your purpose.
Today let’s focus on how to tell others about the Good news. Many people have many different ways of doing this. Some stand on street corners with a sign, others share Me with their family, still others are called to be pastors or preachers. Some are called to pray for people who simply cannot hear My message and not enter into deep anger because of how they have been hurt.
Each person in the world is different and what they need in order to really receive the Good News is different so the most important part about sharing the Good News is to never do it on your own, or from your own strength. Always have Me right there with you.
I know this sounds strange to say since it seems so obvious but the human reaction to My asking someone to do something is to take it, figure it out on their own and then do it themselves. Then, they look for a pattern of what has worked and then try to replicate it. But do you know the problem with this tactic?
It eliminates Me from the equation and I AM the equation.
Jesus’ miracles show that He did things differently every single time He was asked to do a miracle. This points to how, even the Son of God needed to stay close to Me.
What I could have put in this verse is “Work at staying really close to God so that you will be able to share the Good News and have it actually have an impact. I cannot tell you how many times someone has shared the Good News in a way that feels forced but they did it to prove their faith or to prove them are not ashamed of Me (Matthew 10:33) and yet they do more damage than good. I can work good out of every situation so do not be concerned about this but k now that it goes much better when you simply stay close to Me and then we do things together and, in the process, I will naturally show you where and how to share the Good News.
