Continued from yesterday…

1 John 4:10 NLT “This is real love—not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.”

It can be hard to let yourself be loved to such a degree that you almost cannot speak. It Is hard for you to be so deeply loved that everything else falls away and all you want is Me. This world tells you to hold it all together, figure it out, do for yourself because no one else will do anything for you…this is modern day slavery.

Employers treat people like interchangeable parts…paying you and “wooing” you as long as you have something to offer them that aligns with the direction they believe will be most profitable. The moment you are no longer needed, however, it is clear that you were never truly needed or appreciated…but only being used for the benefit of the organization. I am so grateful for the employers to provide employment for My children, I am not grateful that they treat My children interchangeably. I want this to change. I want people to be of more value than profit and I want organizations to understand that when they truly care about their people, that is when true success happens. The profits will flow, but that is secondary. Yes, you need to be fiscally prudent, of course, but if you follow My guidelines and principles set out in the Bible for employers you will find that organizations run much better. What is more important is to remember that an organization is a representative of Me and My greatest priority is to love and care for My children. I wish they taught this at business school. It would make so many things better for so many people!

But that is a side point for today.

For today, let’s go back to the verse.

This is real love—not that we loved God, but that He loved us”

Let Me love you. I loved you first. I showed the Israelites this when I rescued them out of Egypt to show My deep love for them and so that they could worship Me, which is what they needed.

I love you. I sent My son to die for you and reconnect and reestablish anything that could separate us. I love you.

Sure, there are many things I ask of you, many commandments I give to you, but the most important comes directly after you realize how much I love you….the greatest commandment of all is to love Me with all you have (Mark 12:30-31) and then, from there, you can love yourself and others.

When you realize how much I love you, your natural reaction is to worship Me and to love Me back with everything you have. This is simply what comes naturally.

I love all the things you do with and for Me, of course, but they are not necessary for you to expect Me to take care of you. You are My responsibility. I am the parent, you are the child so it is My responsibility to take care of you…not the other way around.

Let Me love you so that you overflow with worship and love and then we can talk about where to channel that love to others but first….let Me love you unconditionally and completely.

I believe this is a message to us from God, written from His perspective – Sherri
