John 18:19 ESV “The high priest then questioned Jesus about his disciples and his teaching.”
When you read the Bible, go to church, or ask Me questions are you questioning Me or learning from Me?
There is a difference in attitude, a difference in your heart posture, a difference in your ability to hear.
Sure, you will always have questions. You will always wonder about certain things. Your protective walls may be up because of past hurts.
Just this morning I pointed out to someone in church that anyone can get up in front of a church and say whatever they want. They don’t have to be trained. They don’t even have to know what they are talking about. They could even be preaching lies…or they could have a block of their own that gets in the way of them seeing Me clearly.
When you listen to people talk about Me and My ways it is important for you to have one ear listening to Me and one ear listening to them. It is important to compare what they way with My Scriptures and what I have shared with you personally. This is why walking with Me on a daily basis is so important. You have to keep one ear tuned to Me while navigating this world. I will let you know if what they are saying is true or not.
But, when you ask Me questions, let down your guard and don’t question Me, instead, seek My wisdom. It will make it much easier for you to hear Me and to know My will for you and for your life.
Look at what remains at the end of your life and what will disappear and focus on the things that will remain. This will provide you the sense of purpose, meaning, and value you seek. Human beings have many, many needs. I know this. I know the needs for food, shelter, water, fun, joy, relationships, connections, and serving. I know you need all of these things. But that is not what needs your focus. What needs your focus is the things that do not fall away when you die.
When you “question” Me, consider simply asking Me questions instead of questioning Me. It will show you the way, the truth and the life much more easily.
Most of all, know that I love you beyond what you might think possible and seek this love first. All the questions are answered when you come from that perspective.
