1 John 4:18 ESV “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.”
I have covered this verse before, but it is such an important one.
What do you fear? What is on the back of your mind that you wonder will happen and ruin your life? What are the things that you run over in your mind repeatedly, expecting something catastrophic to happen and everything to fall apart. What do you fear? Who do you fear?
I am more powerful.
Do you believe that?
Not only am I more powerful…I love you.
Take that in for a moment.
I love you. I know everything about you. I know the number of hairs on your head (Luke 12:7) which simply means that I know every single detail of your life and there is nothing you have done or not done that I do not know.
Of course, I separate out who you are and what you do. If you sin, of course I do not love that about you but that is not who you truly are, that is what you have done. Who you truly are is the person I created you to be. I love you so much that I can love you into existence…the fullness of who you are. It doesn’t matter the mistakes you have made. It doesn’t matter who you wish you were, it doesn’t even matter the time you have spent doing something else. What matters is that My love is so powerful that it covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8) and it casts out all fear.
Do you want to be free from all your fears? Do you want to be free from all your sin?
You are, in Jesus Christ, free from all your sins and fears.
Receive Me and My love for you. All else will fall into place naturally as you do this.
Believe in Me and live your life in a way that shows that you believe in Me. Walk in love and not fear. Walk in My love. It is powerful!
