Matthew 4:23 ERV “And Jesus went about in all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease and all manner of sickness among the people.”
I chose the same verse as previous days but a different translation this morning on purpose. There are subtle differences, but this version points out something unique.
Look at the use of “all”. All Galilee, healing all, all manner of sickness.
Sometimes people wonder if I do things in the completeness of My promises. They know I have promised something, and they see that it is partially done but they assume I won’t complete the fullness of the promise so they “let Me off the hook”.
Don’t do this!
Hold Me to My promises. It will increase your faith, and it will increase the power of the Kingdom.
Jesus went through all of Galilee…this emphasizes that He did not allow anyone to not hear the gospel message. This is true today. I have promised that all will hear My word and be given an opportunity to know Jesus as their savior and this is true. You can count on it. What kind of God would I be if I did not? Would I be a god that you would want to follow?
Many people receive partial healing through their prayers and then they stop seeking the full healing. Why? It is because they do not want to deal with the potential crisis of faith they expect if I do not heal. The fear of not having enough faith for a complete healing keeps them from the full healing available to them. When you receive a partial healing, thank Me, worship me, bless Me, and then remind Me (not that I need reminding, but it is a phrase I use throughout Scripture) that I have promised that all will be healed and then take another step into faith and risk our very relationship on it.
When you take a step of faith you are choosing to take the risk of finding something out about Me that will disappoint you. But I do not disappoint. I do things differently than expected and that often disappoints but I do not disappoint when you truly look at what is going on and what I am doing.
Put your faith in Me and receive the fullness of all that I want to do in your life.
