Matthew 19:26 AMP “But Jesus looked at them and said, “With people [as far as it depends on them] it is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
I could talk about this verse for days and days and days.
Yes, the context of this verse is important but look at what the verse actually says…it says that with God all things are possible.
Really consider this for a few minutes. All things are possible with God.
This doesn’t mean that all things are possible if you decide to ask God and then go attempt to do it yourself. That is trying to do it from your own strength and your own power. This verse says “..with God all things are possible.”
People want to be in control and they want to make things happen, this is natural.
There are times when it is time to make things happen and to appear to be in control but the truth is that you are never really in control as human beings.
Accept this!
Just accept it and don’t fight it.
You don’t have to be scared or anxious about the fact that it is true. Trying to live a life that is not true is much worse than accepting what is true and leaning into the truth that I am in control.
If this is hard for you it probably means you don’t actually trust Me to do good in your life. You may have heard sermons or people talk about how they gave their life to Me and then it got really hard. You may hear about how I test you and ask you to be patient and all of these other things that are difficult but let’s look at it a bit differently.
All of these challenges would have come to you anyway…I just drew you closer so that you could do them with Me.
I have one daughter who chose to allow Me into her life and then life got really hard. She thinks that it got hard BECAUSE she let me into her life but in reality I saw that life was about to get really hard and so I spent more and more time and attention drawing her near to Me because I knew she was really going to need Me in order to make it through.
Tomorrow I will tell you another misconception that really gets in the way of people’s relationship with Me but for today know that, whatever appears to be impossible in your life…is possible with Me.
Don’t give up on it! Lean into Me instead!
