April 3 – Daily Message – Mark 13:2

Mark 13:2 ESV “And Jesus said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”

Keeping first things first and keeping perspective is a very powerful thing in the Kingdom.

When you begin to believe that all that you see and experience is what matters the most it gets much harder to live the life that I desire and created you for.

These great buildings Jesus was talking about was not only the stones but also His very body. All that is before your eyes looks so incredibly real and permanent and yet it is fleeting. The earth feels so permanent and yet it is fleeting.

If you focus on what remains after your death you can start to really understand what is real. What remains?

Love, the essence of who you are (your soul), your spirit in complete connection with My Spirit, the truth of what Jesus did for you so that you can experience life after death rather than death after death. These are all really powerful things to keep track of.

One of the biggest regrets people have when they are near death is that they didn’t actually live their lives. They lived a life that is what they believed they should have lived. They allowed other people, influential people, to determine their life and what they should do. This is represented by the great stones that are torn down.

If you build a life for yourself based on what this world tells you then it will be torn down.

If you build a life based on what I tell you, it will remain for all eternity.

But it all starts with what is underlying this verse above and also this one:

John 2:19 ESV “Jesus answered them, ‘Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.’”

I became flesh so that it could be destroyed so that all could see that the flesh is not what you live for. You live for that which remains when the flesh is gone. The flesh Jesus “wears” now that He has been resurrected is an eternal flesh that has very different properties. He is alive and eats and drinks and feels and yet, He walks through doors and walls and is able to be anywhere at any time.

Why did I bring this up today?

The deep sadness, anxiety, and fear that is plaguing the world right now is rooted in the belief that this is all there is, this is what is real, this is what is true, and nothing else is satisfying or real. If you truly believe that this is all there is what you experience in the flesh right now and at this time, you will find yourself depressed, anxious, and fearful as this world is shaken to its core. That is what is happening right now. The wheat is being separated from the chaff, the foundation of My creation is being shaken.

Do not get distracted by what is temporary.

Do not let little offenses get in the way of our relationship.

Keep your mind on the big picture. Me, for all eternity, in life everlasting – perfect – satisfying – exactly what you desire. That is what you deeply want and that is what is available even now if you keep your eyes on what is to come, not what is here.

Live each day, in the moment, knowing that what you see before your eyes will be torn down and rebuilt with what is true and complete. Keep your eyes ahead, looking for what will be…but don’t try to strain forward and get there, live in the moment where you are and request the daily bread that is available to you.

Please don’t be angry at Me for little offenses that will remedy themselves over time.

All that is good will be healed.

All that is good will be restored.

Don’t waste a single moment distancing yourself from Me about things that will not matter in eternity. Of course, if you are angry, I would rather have you face Me and talk to Me about it but…remember the bigger picture and the Kingdom and let go of the little offenses even when they feel very big.

Come to Me. I will show you how this is possible.
