John 13:19 NLT “I tell you this beforehand, so that when it happens you will believe that I AM the Messiah.”
Believe Me when I tell you things and then believe Me when they come to fruition.
This is a very simple motto. More people believe their doubts than what they know to be true. Believe in what is true. Take a step back and pay attention to what you know rather than what you have talked yourself into because of the discomfort of it being true.
This happened to the disciples. I told them clearly what would happen to Me and they did not see it coming because it was too uncomfortable for them to accept and base their lives upon. But it would have been a lot easier if they had just believed what I had said, not doubted, and then lived their lives according to what I said would happen. They could have saved themselves days of despair and uncertainty after My death. They could have rejoiced that what I said would happen was happening and that the resurrection could be counted on.
But, they were not that mature in their belief yet and they didn’t have the Holy Spirit to help them through everything, but that is okay. It worked out in the end.
Make it easier on yourself. Believe My promises and know they are true. Believe My promises and base your life on them’ Don’t try to talk yourself into things that are not true because they make more sense to you or because they are easier to believe…instead, take a risk on Me and believe what I say.
Your life will be much better when you do.
