Isaiah 52:6 ESV “But I will reveal my name to my people, and they will come to know its power. Then at last they will recognize that I am the one who speaks to them.”
Day 8 of a 10-day mini-series
As the writer of this message knows better than any….as the prophets of old experienced when they were rejected…My words are not always received with joy and humility. It is common for those who speak My words to be rejected by friends and family when I ask them to say something that is deep and powerful and life changing, and yet not what the people want to hear.
Some will reject; others will receive. Be one who receives.
I am revealing My name to you and you are coming to know My power if you receive the hard words as well as the uplifting ones. They are all meant to edify and encourage, but sometimes they feel hard because they pierce to the center and the soul and they prune and it hurts. But that does not change the fact that they are true and honest and mighty and powerful.
It is like someone playing sports. You cannot just jump into a game and expect to be strong and powerful. You have to train and suffer in order to be truly excellent at your game. Why do people think the Kingdom of God is any different. You have to train and suffer so that you can be the best you can possibly be as you receive the fullness of the glory of victory.
I hope you know that I am speaking to you and I hope you recognize I put these words here today just for you. I do not ask for difficulty for the sake of difficulty. I ask for training, pruning…even suffering sometimes, so that you can be free from all that holds you back and then you can run the race I have put before you (Hebrews 12:1) and be victorious.
