2 Chronicles 29:2 ESV “And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, according to all that David his father had done.”
What a beautiful passage this is. How often in a day do you find yourself doing things that you wonder if they are right in My eyes and yet you do them because you feel obligated or pressured by the sins of this world? I am not being critical or judgmental; I am just asking a question.
This verse is speaking of Hezekiah who was king of Judah. He had great success during his reign because he did what was right in My eyes. Unfortunately, toward the end of his life this changed but for much of his life he followed Me well.
Your life as a whole will go much better if you do what is right in My eyes.
Tear down the idols, walk away from the monuments that you have built in your life that worship things of this world and turn your hearts and minds toward Me. You will not regret it for one instant once you see that I am the God that gives you all that you actually care about.
