John 14:27 NLT “I am leaving you with a gift – peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
When a gift is given, it is only enjoyed if it is received. I am giving you the gift of peace of mind and heart. Would you like to receive it? If so, imagine this gift being wrapped in beautiful wrapping with the most beautiful bow you have ever seen. Imagine yourself unwrapping this gift. Some will tear into it, others will remove the bow and wrapping gently, folding them to the side before they open the box. Imagine the box is ornately decorated itself with the most beautiful decoration you have ever witnessed.
Now, open the lid of the box and look in. What do you see? What do you feel? I have put My peace in this box for you. It will be different for everyone who takes these words seriously and does what I am saying.
Know this. In these troubled times, these very troubled times which I will discuss more tomorrow, you can have peace. How? Look at the gift that I give to you and not the gift that the world gives to you. The world cannot give you anything meaningful or eternal. It can give you much of what you need while you are on the earth, but it will not satisfy the way you desire satisfaction. You may have peace of mind and heart if you would like. It comes from Me and not from the world.
Don’t be troubled or afraid.
Since it is written in the Bible it is possible. I do not write anything in the Bible that is not possible so you may live your life free of being troubled or afraid. In all situations, love Me with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength and the fear will dissipate and you will find that anything troubling you is actually Mine to handle, fix, or deal with. It takes the pressure off you completely and then you can be my friend and obey what I ask of you (John 15:14) and you will discover the troubles have been taken care of and, all the while, you were in peace.
I give you My peace now and forevermore.
