John 14:30 NLT “…the ruler of this world approaches. He has no power over me.”
Written from Jesus’ perspective:
Do you believe that the ruler of this world is satan? He was given the ability to be the ruler of the world when Adam laid down his authority in the garden of Eden and did not protect his wife from one of the created creatures I told him to name. A name means a great deal. It gives meaning to who you are and what you are here to do. When Adam laid down his responsibility and authority to protect his wife he could have, instead, named the serpent what he was instead…a liar…a thief…an animal that was not welcome in the garden. He could have used his authority to banish the serpent from the garden, recognizing that the serpent was not agreeing with the fullness of God’s creation and was not welcome there. Just as Adam and Eve were banished from the garden, so too, could Adam have banished the serpent from the garden.
But he did not and by not using his authority to do the very thing I created him to do in this world he gave his authority away to the serpent. This is how the serpent, the satan, received his authority to be the ruler of the world.
Take up your authority in this world. Do not give it away. Even when the serpent tries to tell you otherwise, do not listen! It is lying to you. The serpent has no power and no authority unless it is given. Why? Because he has no power over Me. Adam gave away his authority to the serpent. I do not give My authority over to the serpent, the satan.
On the day of My crucifixion the serpent believed and rejoiced because he thought that he had won the battle that he waged against Adam so many years ago. The serpent believed that I had given him my authority just as Adam had so long before. He believed that I had been defeated because I did not take up my authority and opposed the forces of evil that were waging war against Me. Little did he know that I fully knew My authority, I fully received My authority, I fully accepted My authority, and I gave it, freely and with great joy, as a living sacrifice holy and pleasing to the Lord (Romans 12:1-2) for the purpose of paying for all the people who believe in Me so that their authority may be reclaimed.
Do this now. Reclaim your authority.
I defeated satan that day and took away what Adam had given him. I took up My authority that day by laying down My life for My people…something that satan could never have seen coming because he has no self-sacrifice within himself so he could not even see that was what was planned all along. It was all laid out in front of him. He knew all the prophecies and had a great deal of heavenly knowledge but because of his self-centered, self-abasing attitude he was completely blind to the Father’s plans. The satan believes he is exalting himself but he is abasing himself, belittling himself because he refuses to take on the absolutely glorious existence and being that God created him to be…thinking he can create or be something better than what God imagined. Silly and stupid satan…thinking you know better than God.
Do not be like him. Instead, know that the person God created you to be is glorious, perfect, exactly what is needed in this world and what is best for you and everyone else in the world. Know that God created you to be the fullness of His image. Do not try to make yourself into something you are not. Receive the fullness of His gift to you.
Believe this verse fully. The satan has no power over Me. Therefore, come to Me with the fullness of yourself and everything you have and want. Come to Me with all of it. Submit it all to Me as I submitted all that I had to God on the day of my crucifixion, and you will find that you are raised up in such glory after a short(ish) waiting period. The waiting that occurred during those 3 days was brutal for all creation but then the resurrection was even more glorious.
John 16:33 NLT “Here on earth you will have many trains and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
Believe this verse. I have overcome the world. I have overcome the satan. I have reversed Adam’s biggest mistake…laying down his God given authority and giving it to satan. Do not be like him. Lay down your God given authority to me and I will raise it up to the greatest of the greatest heights you will ever experience. Take back the kingdom on earth with Me!
