Romans 9:11-12 NLT “But before they [Jacob and Esau] were born, before they had done anything good or bad, she [Rebekah] received a message from God. (This message shows that God chooses people according to his own purposes; he calls people, but not according to their good or bad works.) She was told, ‘Your older son will serve your younger son’”
If you have been chosen by Me, you can rejoice in this calling and choosing without feeling guilty or prideful about it. You can simply let it be a piece of information because it does not have anything to do with you. If I have chosen you to be wealthy beyond measure, rejoice, because you have the honor to be generous with this world and share your wealth with many. If I have chosen you to live more humbly, then rejoice also.
There is so much talk about people in poverty being more holy than others. There is so much talk about someone who is successful being more blessed by Me. There is so much talk.
Stop talking.
Stop trying to figure it out.
Instead, walk with Me and know that I have abundance for you in every single way (John 10:10) and it will be combined with tribulation (John 16:33) because every day has troubles of its own (Matthew 6:34).
Don’t take credit for what is not for you to take credit for or shun credit for what you have been praised for. This puts the attention onto you, and it is not you who chose. I chose Jacob over Esau. Sure, Esau made some bad choices but if I had chosen Esau those choices would have worked out differently for him.
Most of the people who will read this will recognize that I have chosen them and have called them and so, simply receive this amazing knowledge that you have been called and chosen by Me – it is not something you did or didn’t do – it is because I called you…according to My purpose.
