Matthew 11:28 ESV “Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
There is something powerful that happens when you give Me all of your problems and you simply ask “Lord Jesus, how can I serve you today”. Your money is not your problem, it is Mine. Your children are not your problem, they are Mine. Your work is not your problem, it is Mine. Whatever is stressing you out of bringing anxiety is not your problem, it is Mine.
The challenge with this approach is that you then begin to wonder what your value is. If you are not worrying, fretting, and concerned with solving problems, what are you needed for? What are you good for? If you do not need to take care of your neighbor and all that you see going wrong in this world then why is it important for you to be here? If you are not an essential part of solving all of the world’s problems and issues…do you still have value?
Yes, your value it derived by one thing. You are My child. You are made in My image, and you are gloriously and wonderfully made. You do not have value because you do anything. You have value because I created you. It takes all the glory from you and gives it to Me, which is really hard for many.
Lay down your problems. Lay down the need to prove yourself to anyone. Lay down your need to be glorified or seen as amazing and wonderful and famous and put all of your problems where they belong. Give them all to Me. They are My problems. Let Me have them and let Me solve them.
Your role?
Do what I put before you each day!
