Matthew 11:25 NLT “At that time Jesus prayed this prayer. ‘O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike.’”
In today’s day and age it is given great value to be wise and clever on your own strength. People have forgotten that wisdom comes from Me rather than from being the best at something or the most knowledgeable at something in this world. After all, I have given you the strength to know what you know, it is not something you have earned or done on your own. I give great gifts to people and yet they tend to think that they are the source of the gift rather than Me.
If you receive the gifts that I have given you with great gratitude and with the knowledge that they are from Me and, therefore, a part of My plan and My will in your life and in the lives of others you will start to see what they are there for. You will begin to see that your deep ability to do something is for a purpose and a plan. Then you will become more childlike and I will be able to reveal great and mighty things to you that I am not able to reveal to you if you think these gifts are ones that you created or earned.
Why can I not share all the mysteries of heaven with all those, even those who think themselves wise and clever? Because when I do they turn the mysteries of heaven into things that benefit this world and not eternal life. It is like the tower of Babel. They wanted to protect themselves from being scattered and so they built a huge building to the sky. Clearly they could have accomplished their purpose if I had allowed it but it was not allowable because they would have used the power that they obtained by building the building to the heavens in order to benefit themselves on earth. Their hearts were not in the right place….and so I had to scatter them and give them many languages because it would have caused such damage to them and to others to accomplish their purpose.
If you are childlike and curious then you realize all that I have given you and all that I want to give you and you find that the mysteries of heaven become something you are given and find joy in for the purpose of eternity, not just for the purpose of now.
This is all in My plan, not to make you feel less than because you are childlike, but for you to realize that I am the perfect father and you actually want to be a child with less responsibility and so you get the privilege of being childlike. After all, which one of you actually wants the responsibility of “adulting”. No one likes it but it is more powerful than being a child and so people seek it out. Let’s try something different. Let’s have you be the child and have fun, play, do the things I put before you, make good choices, and let Me be the one who is adulting for you. This might be a lot more enjoyable for you. This does not mean to shirk all responsibilities and do whatever you want. Your parents didn’t allow you to do that and I don’t either. You still have plenty to do and plenty to enjoy, learn and partake in but the responsibility of providing for yourself…the responsibility of all the decisions…all of that, that can land on Me instead.
