Deuteronomy 19:2 ESV “you shall set apart three cities for yourselves in the land that the LORD your God is giving you to possess.”
When I give you a territory, I want you to take possession of it. I want you to set the territory apart for yourself and really claim in. This is something that humans have really struggled with for many years and yet it is so important. I know it seems harsh to remove someone else from a job or a house or from leadership in an area so that you can take possession of it and yet, that is what will bring the most of Me into the world and into the lives of the others that are being impacted.
When someone no longer belongs in a role or in a territory, then it is no longer for them to be there and they are being held back. When you take on the role that I give you, it may seem like you are taking something away from someone else but this is not the case.
Regardless of whether someone believes in Me or not I am still for them. I love them. I want what is best for them. I want the absolute best things in the world for them…each and every one of them. When I remove someone from office or leadership or force them to move into something else instead of staying comfortable in a life that does not belong to them or suit them or their purpose it may feel like I am taking something away from them but that is not true…I am giving them a wide open road to the very place they most want to be.
So, set apart what I have told you to set apart. Don’t feel guilty for the blessings I have given you but, instead, steward them to the best of your abilities. Pray for the people who are displaced that they will find Me and My path for them and find the goodness that is available to them and then move into the territory I have set aside for you, conquer it and make it yours and Mine for the Kingdom.
