1 John 3:10 ESV “By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.”
Written from Holy Spirit’s Perspective:
It is through My Power that you are able to love the way I desire you to love. It is not possible to love Me, yourself, your neighbor and your enemy, nor is it possible to practice righteousness without Me living within you. This is what is meant by this verse. “Not of God” means I don’t live within you.
Many people use this verse to judge but unfortunately when you judge you are judged (Matthew 7:1) so that is a dangerous way to use this verse.
What really needs to be learned by this verse is whether you, yourself, are a child of God or a child of the devil. It is an important question and has eternal consequence so please stay here with me even if the question annoys or offends you, particularly if the question annoys or offends you.
You do not need to determine if someone else is My child or the devils unless you will be entering into a covenant of some sort. For all others, you are to love them, but the more important question is about you, yourself.
Many people today believe themselves to be and even say they are Christians. Many people, even some reading this now, do not believe Jesus is the Messiah and has saved them from their sin. What do you believe?
Many believe that Jesus is one way to reach the Father but not the only way (John 14:6) and they get caught up on whether God is fair because the culture you are born into could determine whether you believe in Jesus or not, but this, also, is not a valid concern to you because I and My missionaries are everywhere – even in countries where we are not allowed.
Every person in the world is introduced to Me in a powerful and meaningful way at the most opportune time in their life – you can trust Me on that. I love people more than you can possibly understand and I bring them to Jesus personally if no one else is available or willing to do it.
Trust Me and believe for yourself!
But back to the original question…what about you? Are you My child? Do you practice righteousness? Do you love your brother? Do you live this way?
Can you think of the person you most disagree with and love them?
Can you imagine the person who has hurt you the most and see that they are hurt, broken, and possibly tormented, and love them?
If not; that is okay. You are forgiven, you are cherished, you are loved. Come closer to Me, let Me love you even more. Come closer to Jesus and know Him even more and let us come closer to you.
We are the source of the love you desire so much and as you seek Me in receiving Jesus as He truly is then you will be loved yourself and you will find you can live righteously and lovingly toward anyone. You can’t do it from your own love, but with Me all things are possible (Philippians 4:13)
