Luke 14:21 ESV “So the servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house became angry and said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly to the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in the poor and crippled and blind and lame.’”
There are so many reasons people give for not believing in Me or coming to My banquet and this is what this parable is all about.
It saddens Me a great deal that so much of life has been taken up by focusing on things that do not lead to life. Yes, it is a hard time to be alive right now with all of the challenges, disunity, and unpredictable behaviors going on throughout the world but it is not too much to ask to have people set aside their own agenda for a brief moment to come check out the most extravagant feast ever prepared for humankind.
Much prayer is needed right now. Would you be willing to take a few minutes to pray and ask for Me to be revealed in My glory and majesty to this world. Some may still not want to have anything to do with Me but there are many that will. As we near Christmas, it is a perfect time to reveal the truth about who I am and your prayers make a huge difference.
Don’t be discouraged as you see what is happening in the world or around you. Ask Me what you can do, pray, and know that I am actively involved in all of it, just as I have been all throughout history. I honor the requests people make for Me to go away and leave them alone…but only for a time because I know that things will turn sour for them and they will seek Me out again.
But, there are times when I get angry that I offer such amazing gifts and promises and people continue to prioritize things that simply do not matter in the long run. It is like a child choosing to make mud pies when they have a full kitchen, staff, and pantry full of amazing ingredients available to them to learn how to cook real pies.
Come into the “kitchen” with Me. Smell the banquet that is being prepared and jump in.
Sure, I will want you to help out but you will love it.
Start by saying a prayer now…asking Me to show My glory and majesty to this world in a way that is undeniable and cannot be missed by anyone, even those who reject Me. It may seem trite to say that I am the answer to all the problems in the world, but it is true. I am the answer to all of the problems in the world. Seek Me first and let Me show you the way.
