Joshua 10:11 ESV “And as they fled before Israel, while they were going down the ascent of Beth-horon, the LORD threw down large stones from heaven on them as far as Azekah, and they died. There were more who died because of the hailstones than the sons of Israel killed with the sword.”
Imagine this amazing story happening today.
Imagine you are being chased by someone who wants to hurt you and all the sudden a hailstone falls from the sky and prevents them from being able to chase you.
What would it feel like for you?
What if it were multiple people who were chasing you and they were all taken down by hailstones?
What relief would you experience?
What joy would you feel?
How much would you laugh and skip and tell your friends about what happened?
Imagine it!
Now imagine something that is really bothering you in your life. Do not be anxious about it or worry about it, just put your focus on it for a moment.
Ask Me to rain hailstones down on it!
Ask Me to do something powerful, however I want to do it, and “take out” the thing you are dealing with right now.
Don’t be pious and suffer pain that is not necessary for your to suffer! Ask Me!
Do not be “humble” and refuse to ask My help. Ask Me!
Ask for what you want! I repeatedly tell you this in the Bible. So do it! (Matthew 7:7)
Then, manage your thoughts and ask Me to help you manage your thoughts because I guarantee you that you will backtrack, let Me off the hook, reduce your expectations, or take the situation back into your own hands so ask Me to help you with this too. Power is lost when you take the situation back into your own hands.
