Luke 21:28 NLT “So when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation is near!”
“all these things” are speaking of the things that will happen at the end of time. What I am really communicating in this verse is not the timing of the end of time but the posture when all things happen.
When you are in great bounty, look up for I am near.
When you are struggling to understand and wonder where I am, look up for I am near.
When you wonder what is happening in the world right now, look up for I am near.
When you ask whether you will be okay, whether I will take care of you, look up for I am near.
When you wonder why I am not taking care of others the way you want them to be taken care of, look up for I am near.
Regardless of what is happening any day, look up, for I am near.
Remember this. Your first and repeated response to anything and everything happening in your life and in the lives of those around you is this…look up, for I am near.
Do not worry. Do not be afraid. Do not wonder if I am real. Do not wonder if I will take care of any and every situation. Instead, look up for I am near. I am your God and I love you. The enemy will try to convince you that I am not loving, just, or actively involved in your life but these are all lies. I am loving, just, and I am involved in every single moment of every single day of your life. Simply look up. For I am near.
