Mark 12:30 “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’”
This is the culmination of the last week of daily messages.
The joy of being a Christian, the joy of following Jesus, the joy of being filled with the Holy Spirit all come from this verse.
All things that matter all stem from this verse.
If you can do only one thing. If you can focus only on one thing then focus on this..
Love Me.
Love Me with all your heart.
Love Me with all your soul.
Love Me with all your mind.
Love Me with all your strength.
Love Me when things are going well. Love Me when things are going badly. Know that nothing that happens in this world determines whether I love you or not. Bad things happening do not mean I am punishing you and don’t love you. Bad things happen when you live in a broken world filled by evil beings who are trying to steal, kill, and destroy you.
The antidote?
Love Me with all that you have and there is no room for evil in your life…it is all filled with light and love and the darkness doesn’t exist.
Come, make Me your refuge and your strength (Psalm 91) and experience abundant life, even as you walk through the valley of the shadow of death (Psalm 23) that much of this world is filled with. Instead of seeing the valley of the shadow of death see the table I have set before you, a feast of all that you desire and all that truly matters to you. Come feast…on Me!
