Philippians 1:6 ESV “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”
Does it seem like nothing is happening in your life that you want?
Does it seem that things are way off track?
Does it seem that you have great potential within you and it is sitting dormant?
Does it seem that all that you desire is simply stuck and not moving?
You are in good company.
Imagine David having been anointed king…out with the sheep in the pasture or hiding in a cave avoiding Saul so he would not be killed.
Imagine Elisha, knowing that he had a great desire and calling on his life and he was out plowing the field.
Imagine Jacob, knowing he would be the father of many and yet he was stuck serving a sinful man for many, many years.
Imagine Moses, knowing deep inside that he was to set the Israelites free, out in the wilderness for 40 years tending his fathers-in-law’s animals.
Imagine all the people in the Bible who waited for My promises to come true, not knowing if they ever would.
Imagine Abraham and Sarah waiting for the promise I gave them.
Imagine the entire Israelite nation waiting for the Messiah for such a long time, ready to give up because they were so oppressed and demonized in many cases.
Imagine all of this and find the patience that you need in order to achieve that which I have chosen for you. I have put something great and mighty within you and it needs to express itself. It is painful when it is not able to express itself, I know that.
Proverbs 13:12 ESV “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.”
And remember that when I bring something to fruition I do it very quickly.
Isaiah 43:19 BRB “Behold, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert.”
Isaiah 60:22 ESV “The least one shall become a clan, and the smallest one a mighty nation; I am the LORD; in its time I will hasten it.”
I know the wait has been very long. I know you feel that all your talents are being wasted. I know you believe that you will run out of money. I know that you wonder if you can trust Me and you wonder if you have heard me correctly. I know all of these things. I know your heart is sick with worry and wondering if I will do what I have promised and I know how incredibly hard this is for you. I know all these things. I know it looks like all that I have done in you and shown you is a complete waste of time and you should not have sacrificed your life for Me. I know these things. I feel them with you. I stand in this truth with you. I sit with you in the darkness and in the desire for something to break free that has not broken free. I am with you even to the end of the age. Trust Me.
I will bring it to fruition – you can trust Me.
